DORSET RSOC REGIONAL DAY - 2008

We had a good turn out for the Dorset RS show. After a couple of pit stops from "Team Lewis", we arrived in good time thanks to Mark Hudd and his Sat Nav. "It would be good to have some groups set up in the middle" we were told as we paid to enter, so Mark in his "girly car" drove straight for the center saying "here will do" as he climbed out of the Puma.

We didn't quiet have enough cars to make a full circle but the horse shoe display was cool. There was a 5-a-side football tournament, but as usual us Swindon lot aren't brave enough, "enter the girls" we were asked, what a good idea.....girls where are you?? they've gone. Oh well perhaps another time.

Time for a look round, plus we have the castle to visit "...and the shops" says Em. After Dorset had won the football there was the raffle and prizes to give out. The Dorset Group chose Mark Hudd's Escort Cosworth as"best on club stand" for the Swindon Group, then a big surprise, worthy winner Kev Murby and his Sapphire Cosworth WON  "Car of the Show". There was a little pause as we had to wait for Kev to get back up to the main arena. Well done to Mark and Kev  - two excellent cars there.

The Swindon group "Best on Club stand" went to 3rd - Mark Hudd Sierra Cosworth 3dr, 2nd - Nick Murby Fiesta Turbo - well pleased as its his first show, and the 1st place went to Kev Murby Sapphire Cosworth.

As the show came to an end, some of us went home to a big dinner with a boot full of trophies, whilst the rest of us went down to Lulworth Cove empty handed!
